Agricultural Equipment and Technology for Controlled-Environment Farming

Gaia Labs is developing an integrated aeroponic growing operation for Nigerian agriculture, with a focus on agricultural equipment, irrigation and fertigation systems, automation, energy integration and machinery supply-chain partnerships.

Why mechanisation is moving indoors

A machine that grows food, not just a garden.

Mechanisation usually means tractors built for volume crops in open fields. High-value produce needs consistent, controlled output, so we build the tower farm as agricultural machinery: a frame, a power supply, a control system and automated delivery.

  • Consistent, controlled output
  • Built for HORECA & retail buyers
  • Engineered like machinery
  • Scales tower by tower

The machine

How our system works

Four subsystems, working together as one growing machine.

  1. 01 · Structure

    Aeroponic towers

Vertical towers that grow upward, not outward.

  2. 02 · Power

    Solar

Runs pumps and sensors, independent of the grid.

  3. 03 · Control

    IoT sensing & monitoring

    Sensors track conditions, monitored remotely.

  4. 04 · Delivery

    Automated dosing

Nutrients and water misted onto roots on schedule.

Why aeroponics? The machinery logic

Water efficiency

Roots are misted, not flooded, and water is recirculated.

Automation fit

Every input is measurable, so it can be automated.

Density

More plants per square metre, grown close to buyers.

Output

What the machine produces

Premium leafy greens for HORECA, retail and institutional buyers, grown to the same specification every cycle.

We measure output the way you would measure any machine: by its performance. We'll publish measured figures once they're verified.

Machinery supply chain

What we need to scale

Scaling up means a dependable supply of the parts that make up the machine, and the people to keep it running.

Components

IoT sensors, controllers, pumps and tower hardware.

Solar & power

Panels, storage and power electronics sized for continuous pump and sensor loads.

Nutrient supply

Today this is imported, which exposes us to FX risk. We're looking for local or regional sources.

Assembly & support

Local assembly, maintenance and spare parts support, so towers stay running between cycles.

Who we want to meet

Build the machine with us

If you make, move or fund the equipment behind controlled-environment agriculture, we'd like to talk.

Component &
Sensor Makers

IoT sensors, controllers and pumps to equip every tower we build.

Irrigation &
Fertigation

Dosing and misting equipment that delivers nutrients precisely to the roots.

Solar
Partners

Panels, storage and power systems to keep towers running off-grid.

Machinery
Distributors

Partners to supply, install and service our towers across Nigeria.

Early
Partners

Buyers and sites ready to host our first towers or take their harvest.

Mechanisation
Funders

Capital to grow from our first towers to a fleet of growing machines.

About Us

Agritech from Lagos, building machines that grow food.

Growing machinery
for Nigerian agribusiness

Gaia Labs is a Lagos-based agritech company building automated growing machinery for Nigerian agribusiness. Our solar-powered, IoT-monitored aeroponic towers grow premium leafy greens for HORECA, retail and institutional buyers, with consistent output all year round.

Developed in Lagos,
built to scale

We're bringing equipment, irrigation and fertigation, automation and energy together into one operation. Next, we're building a local supply chain for components, solar, nutrients and maintenance, so every tower can be assembled, run and repaired close to where it grows.

Work with us

Let's build it together

We're connecting with equipment makers, irrigation and fertigation suppliers, solar partners, distributors, early buyers and funders. Tell us who you are and what you'd like to explore, and we'll take it from there.
